What to Know Before Your First Class

1. When should I arrive?

Plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early, so you’ll have time to set yourself up, store your belongings, sign in, turn in your WAIVER FORM and pay your class fee before class begins.

2. What if I’m late?

We will be starting and ending classes as close to on time as possible. If you are late, and class has already begun, please come in quietly and we will help you settle into class with as little disruption as possible. For safety reasons, if you more than 10 minutes late, and have missed the warm up, we will ask you to come back another time.

3. Do I need to bring my own mat?

Yes! Make sure it’s a yoga mat, not a thick squishy exercise mat. Mats can be purchased inexpensively at Target, Amazon or most sporting good stores. If you forget your mat we will have loners available but, it’s nice to have your own mat.

4. What else should I bring with me?

Be a minimalist. Only bring into the studio what you need i.e. car keys, mat, class fee and perhaps a small towel. Water is available in the studio. Jackets, purses and umbrellas are all fine but, be mindful that storage space for your personal belongings is limited.

5. Can I bring my phone into the studio?

We would rather you don’t bring your cell phone into the studio. If you forget, please make sure it is turned off and stored away from you. If you need to have it with you for emergency contact reasons you can keep it on vibrate near your mat. Please take your phone outside to answer it.

6. What should I wear?

Wear comfortable exercise clothing that stretches. Dress in layers if that works for you. You will get warm! No socks or shoes are worn in yoga classes. Slip on shoes, Uggs, or sandals , that can be removed easily, are perfect to wear to class.

7. Is there a bathroom available?

Yes, there is a bathroom available to you at the back of the studio.

8. How do I pay for my classes?

Payment is due at the time of class by cash or check. Checks can be written out to either Bridget Mich, or Debbie McAllister. If you would like to pay in advance for several classes we will have a system available for that.
